Multi-Modal Freight Transfer Facility/ Manufacturing Center Study
With the encouragement and support of NYS DOT and US DOC EDA Southern Tier West will (1) study the feasibility of siting a multimodal freight transfer facility and manufacturing center (business park) within the three county Southern Tier West region, (2) evaluate and select a preferred site for its location, (3) undertake certain specific planning work at the chosen site (e.g., preliminary engineering, etc.), (4) identify likely partners and funding sources for the subsequent implementation phase, (5) provide a strategic plan and marketing materials for multimodal freight transfer facility and manufacturing center development at the selected site, and (6) provide a strategic plan and marketing materials for business development at the unselected sites.
