Wind Energy Project Kickoff & Marketing
GFLRPC will work with NYSERDA to organize a wind training workshop for the regional planning commissions (RPC). This workshop will be held in Albany and is intended to educate the RPCs about wind energy issues. GFLRPC also will work closely with the NYSERDA Project Manager to target the most pertinent communities for outreach and assistance (April 2006)

GFLRPC will advertise the program to localities on its website and through letters to local officials in localities specified with the assistance of NYSERDA Project Manager. NYSERDA and DOS Division of Local Government Services also will place notices about the project on their websites (May-June 2006)

GLFRPC will work closely with the NYSERDA Project Manager to assemble wind resource materials that will be distributed to all RPCs. GFLRPC shall develop model language on wind for use in this program (May-August 2006)
