The Southern Tier West Regional Planning & Development Board’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program supports data-driven planning, collaboration, and decision-making across Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties. Our GIS services provide communities, agencies, and organizations with accurate spatial data, mapping tools, and technical expertise to strengthen infrastructure planning, environmental stewardship, and regional development initiatives.
From interactive web maps to data analysis and training support, Southern Tier West’s GIS Program helps local governments and partners use geospatial technology to make informed choices and achieve long-term sustainability goals. By integrating regional datasets and advancing public access to critical information, we work to build a more connected and resilient Southern Tier. News & UpdatesJoin Us for the Geospatial Discovery Session Southern Tier West (STW) invites you to a dynamic two-hour Geospatial Discovery Session on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Tier West Regional Planning & Development Board, 4039 US Route 219, Suite 200, Salamanca, NY 14779. This event is part of STW’s ongoing initiative to modernize operations and expand the efficiency and impact of services provided to our member counties and partners. Together with Esri, a leader in geospatial technology, STW will explore innovative ways to leverage location intelligence and digital mapping to enhance visualization, analysis, and communication across the region. Join us to discover how geospatial solutions can transform data into actionable insights that strengthen decision-making and operational effectiveness.
